I never read the newspaper

I hate how everything is digitalised nowadays...
I hate e-books.
I love the feel of real books in my hand.
And i guess some people would say the same about holding a copy of the day's newspaper and reading it while their have their breakfast.
BUT
I have to say i'm guilty of never reading the paper.
I always, always read my news online or hear of current events from conversations with people.

With the news so accessible online, are newspapers going to eventually disappear?

Where there used to be letters to the editor, now people can just leave comments under the article online.
Whilst people used to perhaps save newspaper clippings, they can just share it, link it or copy/paste it.
I think the fact that we dont have to pay for the news online (other than with our bandwith) isn't such a huge factor in the decline of newspaper reading.
Rather, it's just that everything is so much easier online.
For example, i often find myself reading news that i wouldn't normally read because i just click links under "related news" and go from article to article.

Another problem is that society nowadays is too fast paced, and it's hard to find time to sit down and read the newspaper.
More and more people have smart phones on which they check the news when they are on the go.
Also, because current affairs are constantly changing, it is so much easier to just read it online, where it can be (and is) updated constantly.

Although many people seem to think the internet will be the death of print media, I think it'll be awhile before it happens..
I think we should embrace the digital age, the world is ever changing and we can't stop it.
