It’s funny how things can change in almost an instant. On Friday afternoon, I was like any other person who couldn’t afford an iPhone or an iPad – a hater. Everytime I would see someone pull out their iPhone (or similar device) I would instantly be filled with envy and hate on whoever was flaunting their technological (and financial) superiority. But Friday evening came around and suddenly the shoe was on the other foot. I could never afford an iPhone but I was lucky enough to be given one (a brand new iPhone 4 to be exact) and now I’m the one people are hating on, and it feels good! It’s pretty mint when you can pull out an iPhone and look like the man, instead of looking like a douche with your second-hand brick phone your brother gave you in third form.
What I have also discovered is just how amazing these iPhones are. Obviously people are pretty protective of such an expensive item so my friends that had them didn’t always let me have a play with it so this was pretty much my first time having a good look at it. I’m only about halfway through figuring the whole thing out but already I’ve almost got no use for any other communicative piece of technology. I can text, call, e-mail, use the internet (mainly for Facebook), and pretty much anything else I need I can do. Even more entertaining is that you can download all sorts of games like Bejeweled and even more advanced ones like Street Fighter IV, giving hours of fun (unless your battery dies). Obviously an iPhone could never replace a gaming console like a PS3, but it can replace almost everything else. These things are fully hectic and if you can get your hands on one (this doesn’t mean steal it) then get it! It’ll change your life...
